Man Utd’s hopes of selling Pogba appear reduced as Real pull plug

Man Utd’s hopes of selling Pogba appear reduced as Real pull plug Reported today in Football365.

Real Madrid have reportedly decided not to pursue a summer transfer for Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba.

Pogba has been long since linked with a move to the Bernabeu and the arrival of French legend Zinedine Zidane appeared to have strengthened those claims.

However, Marca on Saturday in an article on Madrid's interest in Erling Braut Haaland, suggest Real have no plans to sign Man Utd's Pogba in the summer.

The report claims Real and the agent Mino Raiola, who represents both Pogba and Haaland, remain on good terms due to the continued contact between Raiola and the club regarding Pogba.

But the Spanish daily claims Real now have no plans to recruit Pogba, but instead will continue to speak to Raiola about making a huge offer to sign sensational Dortmund striker Haaland.

AS report similar – that Real have made 40-goal Haaland their top summer target, leaving Pogba's future unclear.

The France midfielder has played just eight games for Man Utd this season due to injury and not at all since the 4-1 win over Newcastle on Boxing Day, but has stepped up his recovery programme ahead of a possible return to action.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was no doubt frustrated to see Raiola say earlier this month that the player views Italy as his "second home" and wants to return to Juventus and insisted that, above all, Pogba remains under United's influence.

When asked if Pogba would play for United again, Solskjaer said: "Well of course, I'd like to say that."

Links to Juventus have been prevalent for a while, but they could also be going cold on their former star with Lyon midfielder Houssem Aouar seen as a more viable alternative.
