After months of trying to find the right supplier who would deliver shipping containers up our steep dirt road, we got two air-sea shipping containers delivered to our homestead. We got our first four walls up - actually eight walls - but whose counting. These "ConEx Boxes" are going to make up the frame of our barn which will be be our fist official structure that we're adding to the property - not counting our RV. We had to get real creative to get these shipping containers in and we ended up using the neighbors driveway because it is straighter and less steep than ours. We hired a hay hauler that is used to going up country roads with heavy equipment to bring them in and our awesome heavy equipment operator stayed late to help get the job done. Without the use of his excavator we would have been stuck in the mud for sure, literally. Between our great driver and skilled operator we were able to get both containers dropped off with minimal challenges - definitely not none - but minimal.
