Went to Disneyland on Friday night for a solo run, but without much of a plan. That changed quickly though when I learned that Adam the Woo and Katie and Spencer from Best Life were in the parks. So yeah, let's get together and vlog it out! But what actually wound up happening was I was just having too much fun being in the park with them that I didn't really do a regular Fresh Baked vlog.
But worry not, because I did capture what we were doing, just without the usual commentary. So after our evening, I headed to Casey Jr. to do a post trip report for the camera. Unconventional, but I kind of enjoyed it.
As for the trip? Well, we started at Pinocchio as Spencer thought it would be a good idea to pay homage to the film that was turning 80 years old on this day. So ride we did, and it helped remind me why the Pinocchio film was so important to the history of Disney animation. And that would be the multi-plan camera. I highly recommend learning more about this piece of innovation.
Next stop was a request from Katie to ride the Jungle Cruise. I got some amazing night coverage of the ride, and we also had an amazing skipper on this evening. Maybe the best I've ever seen.
Another Katie request that I was super excited to get behind, and that was a night run on Autopia. I love Autopia, and I've been dying to get some fancy cam coverage at night. I wasn't disappointed, and we even had a fun time running in to like 17 monorails (or maybe 4).
Dinner was next, and we had been focused on Plaza Inn all night. And it turns out EVERYONE but Vanessa (who joined us later in the evening) got the chicken. And for good reason. It's the best in the world.
And we wrap our evening with something I've never done before! A ride on Big Thunder Mountain Railroad with Adam the Woo. Or maybe we have before. Memory is foggy. And Adam wanted me to tell you that if you are wearing any hats or glasses...BEST REMOVE 'EM!
What a great evening, and there actually is more! I put myself on the click at 11:42 pm to see how much I could get done, both before midnight, and how long I could hang in there after midnight. Stay tuned!
