A delegation from the Philippine Ministry of Defense visited PT Pindad to see first hand a number of Indonesian defense equipment. "Today we show the Tiger Medium Tank and various defense and security products made by Pindad that have been used by the TNI," said PT Pindad (Persero) President Director, Abraham Mose, quoted from his written statement, Friday, February 28, 2020.

The visit of the Philippine delegation to the Pindad complex was carried out on Friday, February 28, 2020, after the day before the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) was signed between the Philippine Ministry of Defense and Indonesia. The MOU was signed by the Director General of Defense Potential, the Indonesian Ministry of Defense, Bondan Tiara Sofyan with Undersecretary for Finance and Materials, Department of National Defense of the Philippines, Raymundo Dv Elefante, at the Ministry of Defense Office in Jakarta, Thursday, February 27, 2020.

From the written statement reported by the Ministry of Defense, the MOU is intended to strengthen cooperation between the Indonesian and Philippine defense industries. Especially the procurement of defense equipment and other defense industry products. The scope of cooperation includes supply, service, maintenance, transportation and facilities, as well as research and development. Through this collaboration, PT Pindad will become one of the Philippines defense equipment suppliers with a mechanism of cooperation between countries or G to G.

Abraham said, Pindad would follow all Philippine regulations with this cooperation. "In its implementation we refer to the defense industry regulations, then cross-border. If we do trading business with other countries, we also adopt their regulations so that this cooperation can be value-creating-profit for each company, "he said.

Undersecretary for Finance and Materiel, Department of National Defense Philippines, Raymundo Dv Elefante led a Philippine delegation visiting the PT Pindad complex, Bandung, accompanied by the Director General of Potential Defense, the Indonesian Ministry of Defense, Bondan Tiara Sofyan. The group was received by Pindad President Director Abraham Mose, along with directors from a number of other Indonesian defense industries, including PT Dirgantara Indonesia, PT LEN, PT PAL, and PT NTP. Each of them also displayed their superior products to the Philippine delegation.
