Council of the Ageing Chief Executive Ian Yates has applauded "many aged care providers" and the government for being "on the front foot" to protect staff and the elderly from contracting the coronavirus COVID-19. Mr Yates said "a great majority of aged care providers are well-staffed" but the whole "Commonwealth health system" will need to work "hand in glove" to ensure the sector is not impacted too heavily by the virus.
