Mushtaq Malik, Convenor JAC on Thursday informed media, that a large group of women folk will be staging a day long sit in protest on February 9, from 11 am to 5pm in the evening at Dharna Chowk. He fuirther told that JAC had earlier planned a forty eight hours peaceful sit in protest by women at Darulshifa play ground but the police denied the permssion, another attempt to hold similar protest at Eidgah Mir Alam too went in vain. Aggrieved with the police attitude of denying permission the JAC had approached Telangana High court. Meanwhile Asma Zehra member All India Muslim personal law Board told that it is the duty of every Indian to fight against the draconian laws such as CAA, NRC and NPR. “We appeal the women folk to join the six hours sit in protest at Dharna Chowk and stand against the those laws which are aimed at dividing the Indian citizens” said Zehra. She also told that sit in protest by women would be another historical event in Hyderabad similarly on the lines of Millions March.
