Excitement of the Carrack abounds as people who have purchased this ship with LifeTime Insurance (LTI) have future exploration, medical, some science, small repair, and even cargo /trading all at their fingertips. But what does it mean to have LTI? Are ship components, cargo, or customization covered under insurance? What about racing or pirate gamplay ... will piracy actions also be insured? How much will insurance cost? What's the vision for insurance claims? All these questions and more have been planned by CIG, and are still in the current works. There have been recent mentions of insurance that still support these general intentions, though some details of costs, duration, and coverage will likely be balanced over time.
