Malaysia considering economic stimulus package to mitigate impact of coronavirus outbreak Malaysian Prime Minister Mahathir Mohamad said his government is looking to launch an economic stimulus package to deal with the fallout from the global novel coronavirus outbreak. The country's tourism sector has forecast losses of almost US$100 million for the first quarter. Tourist arrivals from mainland China have dropped drastically -- from almost 300,000 before Jan 27 to just 41,000 in first week of February.
