Some have questioned whether Brad, 56, was actually writing his own jokes because surely, someone that talented already couldn’t possibly be witty too. Well, we hate to break it to you – he really is that funny as Brad insists he hasn’t used a ghostwriter. Of course, he has. Brad won best supporting actor at the 2020 for his performance in Once Upon A Time In Hollywood. His acceptance speech for the coveted gong was more on the emotional side but in recent weeks, Brad’s been churning out the banter while cleaning up the awards. Opening up about his speech-writing process, Brad told reporters backstage at the Academy Awards on Sunday: ‘Historically, I’ve always been really tentative about speeches, like, they make me nervous.’ To view this video please enable JavaScript, and consider upgrading to a web browser that supports HTML5 video He definitely hides those nerves well! ‘So this — this round, I figured if we’re going to do this — put some real work into it and try to get comfortable, and this is the result of that,’ he continued. Taking all the credit, Brad insisted: ‘No, I definitely write them. I have some funny friends. I have some very, very funny friends that helped me with some laughs, but, no, it’s got to come from the heart. ‘For me, it was just about getting cosy, you know, up in front of a mass of people. I know that sounds antithetical given the profession I’ve chosen, but it’s not necessarily my thing. So that’s probably what I’ll remember.’ Oh, Brad, we’ll always remember. While accepting his accolade at the Screen Actors Guild Awards, Brad joked that he’ll be putting the award on his Tinder profile which made his ex-wife Jennifer Aniston laugh. Then at the Baftas, although he wasn’t in attendance, Brad made everyone awkwardly laugh when he jokingly called the award ‘Harry’ with Prince William sat right in front of the stage as Margot Robbie read his speech out. It’s been real, Brad. 2020 Winners List Best picture - Parasite Best actress - Renée Zellweger, Judy Best actor - Joaquin Phoenix, Joker Best supporting actor - Brad Pitt, Once Upon a Time…in Hollywood Best supporting actress - Laura Dern, Marriage Story Best director - Bong Joon-ho, Parasite Music (original song) - (I'm Gonna) Love Me Again, Rocketman Music (original score) - Joker International feature film - South Korea, Parasite Makeup and hairstyling - Bombshell Visual effects - 1917 Best film editing - Ford v Ferrari Best cinematography - Roger Deakins, 1917 Best sound mixing - 1917 Best sound editing - For
